In May this year, an EU court ruled that an individual had the right to request that online informtion about them be removed if it is outdated or no longer relevant. Following this ruling, Google said that it had received over 12,000 requests from individuals seeking to be “forgotten”. Today, Google announced that they had begun removing search results based on these requests.
