Despite class action suits and the complaints of many people, there has been a growing trend on the internet of companies posting people’s mug shots online for everyone to see.  Websites such as Mugshots and JustMugshots make a business of doing this, and if that’s not bad enough, results for these websites oftentimes rank high in Google’s search results.  That means that if you are unfortunate enough to have your mug shot posted on one of these sites, that photo could be the first thing that people see when they search for you online.

The question then is how you can get these companies to remove your mug shot from their sites.  Well, the answer to the question comes in the form of dollar bills.  This strikes many as nothing but online extortion, plain and simple.
